06/15/01 - According to a Marin IJ article, Weir will "be sitting in with Lesh's band at" the seven July shows that RatDog will open for Phil and Friends.

06/11/01 - Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, and members of Phil's band played under the name "Crusader Rabbit" last night at Sweetwater Saloon in Mill Valley, CA. Here's the setlist at RatDog.org.

06/10/01 - In October, a 12-CD Warner Bros./Rhino GD box set will be released. According to the L.A. Times, "The first two discs will be a set titled 'Birth of the Dead,' featuring material recorded before the band signed to Warner Bros., compiled by band publicist and historian Dennis McNally. Then each of the Warner Bros. albums will be presented on its own disc, with a running time of about 40 minutes each, supplemented by about the same amount of bonus tracks. 'Each CD is filled to the maximum time of 79-minutes-plus,' [Rhino's James] Austin says. 'The bonus tracks will be a combination of unreleased studio tracks plus live recordings from that era.'"

05/31/01 - Dick's Picks Volume 22 (from 02/23/68 and 02/24/68) will be released on 06/04/01.

05/29/01 - GDTSTOO has announced the 2001 Furthur-style festival tour: it is called the So Many Roads Tour 2001 with RatDog, Rusted Root, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe and Keller Williams. The two confirmed tour dates so far are: Wed 8/15/01 Wantagh, Long Island, NY Jones Beach Theater, and Fri 8/17/01 Holmdel, NJ PNC Bank Arts Center. GDTSTOO added in a message, "We are not yet able to let you have a full schedule for this tour. We do hope to have more information very soon."

05/19/01 - According to The Weekender, "A date still hasn't been confirmed for the Ratdog/Rusted Root tour, but one is expected for late August" at the Coors Light Amphitheatre at Montage Mountain, Scranton, PA.

05/05/01 - Bob Weir has been added to the bill for the Seva benefit on 05/15/01 (Wavy Gravy's birthday) in Berkeley, CA.

05/01/01 - According to a new Billboard.com article, "A 2001 version of the Furthur Festival, with an official name yet to be determined, will play small amphitheaters in August through Labor Day, featuring ex-Grateful Dead principal Bob Weir's Ratdog, Rusted Root, and Karl Denson's Tiny Universe."

04/26/01 - RatDog will open at least seven shows for Phil and Friends in July. Phil says in his comments about RatDog, "I have known and loved Bob Weir for 36 years and still find him one of the most innovative musicians in rock. His new album is full of great songs and exciting playing."

04/24/01 - The website for The Meadows in Hartford lists RatDog as the Special Guest for Phil and Friends on 07/21/01.

04/21/01 - View From The Vault II (DVD/VHS/CD) will be RFK 06/14/91 with 07/12/90 pre-drums filler.

04/06/01 - According to the new GD Almanac, "The Mickey Hart Band IS SCHEDULED TO reconvene for summer touring."

03/28/01 - In a new Launch.com article, Hornsby says that Weir et al. are "trying to put together a Furthur Festival with Ratdog and a couple of other groups." The article's author Gary Graff adds, "The Furthur Festival camp is in the midst of putting together this summer's lineup, which is rumored to include funk legend George Clinton."

03/27/01 - Weir, Hart, and Kreutzmann have released a message concerning the upcoming lawsuit with Doug Irwin.

03/26/01 - Here's an Other Ones update from Bob Weir: in a Jambands.com interview, he gave that group's status as "back-burnered" instead of finished.
